Three Year Anniversary

Would you believe me if I told you that three years ago, a 15 year old aspiring artist first joined deviantart, her hands shaking as she fumbled with the keys, in a hotel room somewhere in North Carolina? Would you believe me if I told you that, three years later, she would have more support and love from a community than she ever had imagined? Would you believe that? Because... It's the truth!
I wish I could have done more for this Anniversary, but since 5 years is the BIG one, I'll hold back for now. I can't believe it's been 3 years. I can't believe some of my first 100 watchers- or maybe first 50- still talk to me on nearly a daily basis. I can't believe some of the amazing friendships that have blossomed out of this. I can't even name everyone because I know I would accidentally leave someone out! That's insane! This page has seen me throughout my entire 4 semester of Japanese, my graduation from high school, my first BIG move in over a decade, and now my first full time semester as a college student.. It's crazy to think about how different my life was back in 2014. Wow...
And I can't believe the lovely, insanely beautiful community that has started around my silly little TLK comic. Seriously, I started Echelon for fun, I never expected it to get as big as it has. And I'm grateful every day for each and every one of you. I know that I'm not as active as I was a few months ago, but life has bee crazy, and I still try my hardest to stay involved in the community. And I want you guys to feel involved and special- because you ARE. Each and every one of you is a person, with distinct traits, and you should all be celebrated for your differences and likelihoods. Because, without you guys, all of this- Chana, Zuberi, Echelon, Sarn-Elyren- would not exist. So thank you, thank you for supporting me in what I truly love, and for being such fantastic group of people, who I am honored to call my friends. Thank you so much!
